Bonnie Raitt Hits the Road Again with Cleaner Burning Biodiesel

Since 2002, acclaimed blues/rock musician Bonnie Raitt has toured on biodiesel (B20), and higher blends, in her buses and trucks. The first U.S. entertainer to use biodiesel on a tour, her environmental efforts are in conjunction with the Green Highway eco-partnership she promotes while on tour.

“I believe we should do everything we can to minimize our impact on the planet, and using biodiesel is a simple step that goes a long way,” said Raitt.  “By using B20, we are reducing pollution and putting a dent in imported petroleum.  Biodiesel has come so far in the last few years.  It’s wonderful to see it gaining momentum – we can all benefit from more biodiesel use.”

Raitt has additionally helped biodiesel by hosting a fundraiser, benefiting Tennessee biodiesel education,
in conjunction with a concert.
